Let’s Talk

Stress, Anxiety and Self-Esteem

How’s the conversation with yourself been lately? Has that little voice in your head been encouraging and cheering you on? Or has that voice felt like it’s suffocating you with negativity? Has it been telling you how you’re not good enough, how you’re not deserving of better or you should just stop now because you’re wasting your time thinking other really care about you with all your imperfections and baggage.

One of the hardest, yet fulfilling, relationships you will have in life is with yourself. Let’s change the narrative and the verbiage used when talking to the person in the mirror. You are amazing, you are cared for and you are more than enough.

I’m ready when you are- Let’s Learn.

Parenting- Perinatal and Postpartum

Ahh parenthood… how we often wish there were a roadmap to guide us on how to navigate it.

Truth be told, even if there were a roadmap we’d still get lost since no one road is always the same and some areas have a more difficult terrain  to cross than others. For some parents those bumpy roads could be fun to explore, while for others they can be triggering and a bit scary. Some parents may have great role models to lean on and learn from, while others have to figure it out on their own every step of the way because they have no support or lack the parental guidance, love and support the needed.

Here’s a helping hand- Let’s Grow.

Relationships

Whether it be familial, platonic or intimate, relationships and connections are essential to our life experiences.

From the first day of life, you learned how to interact with others, you built expectations and you developed survival mechanisms to protect yourself in the event you feel disconnected or threatened by one of those relationships. All of these things contribute to your Attachment Relationship—  the way you experience yourself and connect and engage with others. With all the time, effort and dedication you put into your important relationships, it is natural to feel emotionally unbalanced when you feel the relationship is in turmoil or that you cannot communicate how you need to. You may feel the need to shut down and avoid your emotions. You may feel the need to people please. You may even be confused and unsure of what to do.

Let’s begin to do things differently- Let’s grow.

Supervision

Whether you’re newly embarking on your journey to licensure or you’ve been in the field of Social Work for a while- Welcome!

Holding space for others while making sure you remain compliant with trainings and paperwork isn’t always an easy task. While some supervisors meet with you to just discuss administrative work and case consultations, I offer a deeper,  more reflective approach to supervision. Together we build from your strengths, explore your own biases, and break through barriers that may arise during your sessions, all to ensure you are the best therapist you can be- for yourself and for your clients.
